Using AI Tools to Tailor Job Applications

It seems we hear about new applications for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our work and personal lives almost daily. AI is widely used to help people with business, academic, and personal writing, to say nothing of many less prosaic tasks. 

One of the most obvious use cases for AI is in job searching. There are a number of AI applications—both general and specifically tailored for job searching—that can help you write a resume or analyze a job description. 

The goal of this event is to briefly review the recommended form and content for a resume and a job specification manually, then to submit both to AI applications and compare results. 

At the conclusion of the presentation, participants will understand:

• Sources of AI tools that can be used for job searching
• Approaches to crafting a prompt to correctly guide the application
• Potential benefits and pitfalls of using AI tools
